If you want to secrete former Governor of California and weightlifter Arnold Schwarzenegger in a Californian gym, it's probably going to take more than a fake handlebar moustache, dodgy wig and hat.

This certainly proved to be the case when Arnie conducted the prank for charity After-School All-Stars at Gold's Gym this week.

Pretty much everyone the Terminator star approached appeared to clock his true identity, with one gym customer musing: "You look very familiar."

He also throws in a few catchphrases, barking in his thick Austrian accent: "Don't be a baby!"

"I wanted to have a little fun and raise money for a good cause, so I went to Gold's Gym in Venice in disguise," Schwarzenegger wrote alongside the video, which he posted as part of a Reddit AMA. "You can help! Please enter for a chance to ride with me on my tank and do some lifts together."

Schwarzenegger will next appear on the big screen in ensemble cast action sequel Expendables 3, joined by new mercenaries Harrison Ford, Antonio Banderas, Wesley Snipes, Kelsey Grammer, Mel Gibson and Kellan Lutz.
