Actor Charlie Sheen was arrested in the Colorado resort town of Aspen on charges related to an alleged case of domestic violence.
Police spokeswoman Stephanie Dasaro said Sheen, 44, was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and menacing, both felonies, along with criminal mischief, a misdemeanour.
Police said the alleged victim did not have to be taken to hospital. The person's name was not released.
Sheen was released after posting an 8,500-dollar bond and being advised by a county judge on the conditions of his release. A court date was set for February 8.
Jail officials said Sheen was not available to comment and after-hours messages left for his managers were not immediately returned.
