Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has defended herself from an Instagram commenter calling her a ‘bag of bones’, saying she’s ‘sick and tired’ of it being acceptable to shame someone for being too thin.
The singer was taken to Italy for her 32nd birthday by her husband, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, and she shared a picture on Instagram.
But after being called a ‘bag of bones’ by one commenter, she spoke out about the regular body-shaming of thinner women and how it wasn’t okay to judge any woman on her appearance.
“I would never dream of calling somebody too fat and that they should maybe cut down on their food intake? What is the difference?” she said.
“You have no idea what I’ve been through. Just losing my father in law v recently and everything that comes with that.
“Not that I am or should justify myself to anyone,” she added.

"I love Prince Harry. Good looking and a bit of a rebel. Me and his dad are as thick as thieves and I knew Harry before I knew his dad so we've met a few times. I think he's amazing. And I think you can relate to him because he's made mistakes. He's cool."
