Gavin and Stacey - The Final Chapter
Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page said the show's next series was probably its last.
Speaking at the launch of the third series of the popular BBC comedy, the actress said she did not think another series would be made.
A screening of the first two episodes of the new series took place in London last night, attended by Page and other cast members.
The new series sees Gavin and Stacey trying for a baby.
Page said: "I don't think we'll ever do another series ... maybe in 20 years' time when we've all aged that would be quite funny, but it's nice the way it's been left."
BBC One controller Jay Hunt introduced the episodes, saying it was "sadly (the) final series of Gavin and Stacey".
She said the programme held a particular place in her heart and she was very keen to get the show on BBC1. She said: "Series three is as heart-warming and hysterical as series one on BBC3."
