Waka Flocka Flame is running for president, pledges to legalise marijuana
But he won't be wearing no 'hot ass suits' in Congress
Atlanta rapper Waka Flocka Flame has made good on his promise to run for office, creating an election campaign video and drafting a series of policies.
"I'm dead ass running for president in 2016" he tweeted back in 2012, so Rolling Stone decided to find out if he was true to his word.
"I'm very pleased to announce today, on 4/20, the best day of the year, that I will be running for president," he said in the official announcement. "The first thing we do when I get into office is legalise marijuana."
The video then sees Waka roll up some "presidential kush" and discuss his other ideas for running the country, which range from the bizarre (no dogs in restaurants) to the quite sensible (teaching kids "reality skills") via the hilarious (no suits in Congress, "it's f*cking irritating having hot ass suits on").
He chose DJ Whoo Kid as his running mate, with his only current opposition being Hillary Clinton.
Policy-wise, Obama may have already stolen his thunder, yesterday coming out in support for marijuana legalisation, at least for medicinal purposes, saying that he believes we should "follow the science not the ideology".
