Paul Gascoigne 'being treated in hospital' after he was found drunk outside his home
His daughter Bianca has thanked supporters for their "kind words" after the former England footballer was collected by paramedics
Bianca Gascoigne has thanked well-wishers for their “kind words” after her father Paul was admitted to hospital following a ‘drinking binge’.
The former England footballer was reportedly found outside his apartment in Poole, Dorset, yesterday with a bottle of vodka.
According to the Daily Mirror, paramedics and police were called to the home that Gascoigne is currently being evicted from following recent noise complaints.
A source told the paper: “It is very sad. But the reality is Paul has been drinking for the past few weeks and once that happens, things will only end one way.
“Today things came to a head. He has had a lot on his plate as he is in the process of trying to find somewhere to live.”
A spokesman for the footballing legend confirmed yesterday’s incident, which happened as it was revealed that Gascoigne had joined Abbey FC, a Sunday League side.

Following a decade-long break from professional football, the 47-year-old has registered with the Bournemouth Hayward Sunday League after a chance meeting with the league’s manager Chris Foster.
Gascoigne has a long history of alcohol problems and explained in a TV documentary last year that he had been “lucky twice” after nearly dying from drink.
In Being Paul Gascoigne he spoke of his frustration at his drinking and fears that he will continue despite knowing it could kill him.
Earlier this year he checked into an alcohol rehabilitation clinic in Southampton in his seventh attempt to quit.
