Sky blue and painted with flowers and clouds, a coffin containing the body of Peaches Geldof was today carried into the same 12th-century church in Kent that was the scene of her marriage two years ago.

The funeral of the model and television presenter, held at St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence church in the village of Davington, was a private event with only friends and family in attendance.

BREAKING: Peaches Geldof's Cause Of Death

Kate Moss, Jamie Hince, Alexa Chung, Nick Grimshaw, Bill Wyman, Jools Holland and the Duchess of York were among mourners who said farewell to the 25-year-old model and presenter this afternoon. Jo Wood, Eliza Doolittle, Johnny Borrell, Alan McGee, Mariella Frostrup and husband Jason McCue also attended the service.

Her father, Bob Geldof, is thought to have given a eulogy at the church in Davington, near Faversham, the same place where the socialite married her husband, Thomas Cohen, in 2012. It is also where the funeral was held for her mother Paula Yates in 2000.

Peaches’s ashes were said to be scattered at Bob Geldof’s Davington Priory country estate, where she grew up. Well-wishers attached flowers to the gates of the building.

A hearse carrying her sky blue coffin pulled into the estate at 1.00 this afternoon. The back of the coffin had been painted to show an image of Peaches together with her musician husband Tom Cohen, their two sons Astala, aged 23 months, and Phaedra, 11 months, alongside their pets.

A message reading “RIP Peaches” was also written in chalk on the wall of the church.

Geldof was found dead in her Kent home on Monday April 7. Her cause of death is still unknown, after a post-mortem was inconclusive, and is being treated by Kent Police as a “non-suspicious, unexplained sudden death”. The results of a Toxicology tests are expected in the next few weeks.
