Rebel Wilson has warned fans to watch their drinks when they’re on a night out after claiming her drink was spiked at a nightclub.

On Thursday evening, the Pitch Perfect actress relayed the frightening ordeal to her 2.45 million followers. She explained she was only a third of the way through her drink when she begun to feel disorientated. She was able to make her way home safely but says she woke up the next day “feeling like [she’d] been hit by a truck”.

Explaining “I never thought that would happen to me”, she urged fans to “please act as soon as you feel something strange” should they ever find themselves in a similar situation.

The “trendy club” Wilson visited is unknown but according to reports she was spotted in Los Angeles over the past few days.

In 2014, an ITV This Morning survey suggested one in ten people say they’ve had their drink spiked. The NHS say many incidents go unreported due to memory loss or embarrassment.
