The Queen, Patron, visits the Royal London Hospital, London E1, to mark the move to the Hospital of Children's Services from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for Children, Hackney Road; and, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, gives a luncheon for the President of Argentina, Mr Carlos Menem. The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Member, attends the Smeatonian Society of Civil Engineers' Dinner at the Institute of Civil Engineers, London SW1. The Prince of Wales presents the 1998 Soil Association Organic Food Awards at the Savoy Hotel, London WC2; visits the King's Healthcare NHS Trust and opens the redeveloped Accident and Emergency and Radiology Departments at King's College Hospital, London SE5; and, as President, the Prince's Trust, attends the Prince's Trust Comedy Gala at the Lyceum, London, WC2. The Duke of York attends a Falklands Memorial Service in St Paul's Cathedral, London EC4; and attends a dinner for the President of Argentina at the Mansion House, London EC4.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Welsh Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Welsh Guards.
