The Duke of Edinburgh visits the Windsor and Maidenhead District Sports Association for the Disabled and opens a new extension to the Clubhouse at Braywick Sports Ground, Maidenhead, Berkshire; and as President and Honorary Life Fellow, Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, attends a reception to launch the William Shipley Appeal at St James's Palace. The Duke of Kent, Vice- Chairman, the British Overseas Trade Board, visits Automotive Products Plc, Leamington Spa; visit Lumonics Ltd, Swift Valley, Rugby; and opens the new School House, Rugby School, Warwickshire.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Welsh Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Welsh Guards.
