ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

The Duke of Edinburgh, Marshal of the Royal Air Force, attends a dinner held to honour those who fought in Bomber Command in 1939-45, at the Officers' Mess, Strike Command, RAF High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. The Princess Royal, President, British Knitting and Clothing Export Council, visits Strathclyde Knitwear Limited, Irvine, Ayrshire; and visits Ayr Racecourse and opens a new stand, "The Princess Royal Stand".

Changing of the Guards

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Welsh Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Coldstream Guards.
