Ursuline College, Westgate-on-Sea

The Autumn Term begins today at the , Kent, which is now co-educational. There are 417 boarding and day pupils in the College. Sr Alice Montgomery OSU is Headteacher and her deputies are Sr Katherine Kelly OSU and Mr Denis Fligg. Laura Heseltine is Head Girl and Patrick Williams is Head Boy. In the junior department (up to age 11) and sixth form, boys and girls are taught in mixed classes. A feature of the College is single-sex parallel classes in the 11-16 age range. There will be an Open Day on Saturday 7 October (10am-1pm). The Right Rev John Jukes OFM Conv, Auxiliary Bishop in Southwark, will be Principal Celebrant at an Inaugural Mass on 18 October, at 11am. The Sixth Form "Taster" Evening is on Thursday 2 November (7pm-9pm). Carol Services take place on 3 and 4 December. Term ends on 8 December.
