Stephen Fry might be the nation's best-loved intellectual, but his impression of Stephen Hawking made for uncomfortable viewing.

Lots of people on Twitter weren't sure Fry's imitation was quite cricket.

However, Hawking had already got one over on Fry earlier on in the ceremomy. Presenting an award with actress Felicity Jones, who played his wife in The Theory of Everything, the physicist joked that he was more attractive than Fry.

When Jones described physicist Hawking as "the only person more intelligent than Stephen Fry", Hawking responded "and better looking".
