Zoe Sugg, best known as the vlogger ‘Zoella’ and her boyfriend, fellow vlogger Alfie Deyes, have requested privacy from fans who repeatedly turn up at their house.

The couple, who have made a career of posting videos of themselves on Youtube, took to another form of social media (Twitter) to complain of their lack of privacy.

Sugg, who rose to prominence for her hair and make-up tutorials on her Youtube channel which she begun in 2009 and last year published her bestselling novel Girl Online, wrote on Monday: “Really starting to lose my patience with people just turning up at our house and peering in or ringing our bell… makes me hate my house!”

Sugg’s boyfriend Deyes, who also lives at the house in East Sussex and posts Youtube videos under the alias ‘Pointless Blog’ also took to Twitter to criticise the parents driving their children to the couple’s home.

He invited fans who want to meet him to come to an organised meet and greet and wrote: “You can’t just drive to my house and climb our walls, that’s really not fair!”

The pair then hit out at several news outlets for reporting on their upset while apparently telling readers the address of their residence.

However despite the pair’s loyal fanbase, some of Sugg’s four million followers were not so sympathetic.

One Twiter user said: “Welcome to the famous life. Didn’t you see this coming at all?”

Sugg replied saying the couple didn’t set out to become famous and “it is also not something we should have to put up with.”

On the other hand, a number of other fans defended the pair saying no matter how famous they are they deserve their privacy.

Sugg, 25, has over nine million subscribers to her Zoella Youtube channel. Deyes, 22, has 4.8million subscribers.

The pair, dubbed ‘Zalfie’ by fans, are often featured in each other’s videos, a 'vlog' of the pair answering quiz questions to see how well they know each other has amassed almost 15 million views since it was posted in August, 2014.
