pounds 80,000 for sofa back injury

MAURICE LEAHY, an 18-stone businessman who injured his back when a sofa collapsed beneath him in 1994 when he was 50 yesterday accepted pounds 80,000 damages in the High Court against the manufacturer, Kinnarps AB, of Sweden.
