STORMS AND gales forced three yachts to seek shelter yesterday after jinxing the start of a round-the-world yacht race.
The yachts - Broadsword, Adventure and Racer - all crewed by 12 Army, Navy and Air Force personnel, limped into Plymouth under lifeboat escort after leaving the Solent on Saturday on the first leg of the race to Antigua, in the Caribbean.
