Siege enters 9th day

A woman was spending her ninth day as the hostage of a gunman at a house in Hull. Police surrounded the council house after a convicted kidnapper, Steven Wood, 39, armed with a handgun, barricaded himself inside with two women. One of the women was released unharmed at the weekend.
