Skiing: High flier

Above the city streets flies Hein Arne Mathison, of Norway. But he was on a wing and a prayer - landing unplaced yesterday in the large hill event of the World Cup ski jumping in Sapporo, northern Japan. Best of the 56 birdmen was Jens Weissflog, of Germany.
