THE ROYAL British Legion will keep its VAT concessions on its annual poppy appeal, the Government confirmed last night.

Lord McIntosh of Haringey said in a Lords written reply: "It is not, and never was, intended that charities like the Royal British Legion would suffer from any possible restriction of the VAT grouping facility to fully taxable business entities."
