Tracks That Got Away
WHILE Bruce Springsteen was arguing in the High Court against unauthorised releases of early recordings, it was confirmed yesterday that he will be releasing a box set of 66 songs next month, spanning his 25-year career.
It will feature 56 previously unreleased tracks. They will include songs recorded during sessions for his most famous albums, such as The River and Born In The USA. Entitled Bruce Springsteen: Tracks, the album, to be released by Columbia, will be accompanied by a 56-page book of lyrics, liner notes and rare photos.
Springsteen writes in the notes: "This collection contains everything from the first notes I sang in the Columbia recording studio, my early and later work with the E Street Band, through to my music in the Nineties ...
"I'm glad to finally be able to share this music; here are some of the ones that got away."
