Train drivers' strike called off
A THREATENED strike by hundreds of train drivers was called off yesterday after a new pay offer. Leaders of the drivers' union Aslef are recommending acceptance of a new 3.3 per cent pay offer from Northern Spirit. The drivers had been due to start a series of 24-hour strikes.
