Asthma warning
The children of mothers who smoke heavily during pregnancy are 30 per cent more likely to develop asthma by their mid-teens, Dr John Britton, of the University of Nottingham, told a meeting in Dublin of the British Thoracic Society. His findings are based on a study of 15,000 children.
