Baby's body discovered in garden
Police were guarding a house in Reading, Berkshire, last night after the body of a child was found in a shallow grave in the back garden. It was believed to be that of a new-born baby.
The corpse was removed to Royal Berkshire hospital for examination by a pathologist.
In a separate incident, police searching for Martin Tague, 12, last night discovered a child's body in woods near his home in Netherley, Liverpool.
Police said the cause of the child's death was not yet known, but there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
