The corpse was removed to Royal Berkshire hospital for examination by a pathologist.

In a separate incident, police searching for Martin Tague, 12, last night discovered a child's body in woods near his home in Netherley, Liverpool.

Police said the cause of the child's death was not yet known, but there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.
