Barn owls in decline

CommentsBritain's barn owl population has declined by an estimated 70 per cent since the 1930s. A four-year investigation by the Barn Owl Trust has found that only about 3,500 pairs are left in Britain. The report blames intensive farming and the loss of old farm buildings.
