BBC pay ballot

Production and technical staff at the BBC are to be balloted on industrial action. The broadcasting union Bectu said the decision to call a vote followed an offer of 1.5 per cent pay rise for its 13,000 BBC members. The BBC denied that any offer had been made yet.
