Bernard Silver

ON 31 October we published a photograph of gay activists protesting outside the Western Marble Arch Synagogue in response to comments made by Lord Jakobovits about homosexuality and genetic engineering. We have been asked to point out the photograph also showed Mr Bernard Silver, a member of the Board of Deputies of British Jews and a congregant of the Synagogue, who was speaking to the protesters, the timing of whose protest and whose choice of venue he condemned.
