Five people were taken to hospital after a temporary stand collapsed at a Cliff Richard gospel concert last night.

Police said the stand collapsed under the weight of about 100 people 10 minutes before the concert at Benham Sports Arena, Moulton, Northampton, was due to begin. The start of the 1,700-ticket concert, which was part of the Cliff Richard gospel tour of Britain, was delayed by 40 minutes.
