The rescue team looking for a five-man British Army expedition missing in north Borneo will start a two-day descent into a deep ravine today to try to find them, writes Will Bennett.

The search yesterday for two British officers and three Hong Kong Chinese from the ranks failed to find the men, who have been missing for more than a week.

Members of a 20-strong specialist team of soldiers and airmen flown out from Britain descended 300ft (91m) from the summit of Mount Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia, yesterday to assess the terrain.
