Apology over failures in murder case
Police have apologised to the family of a woman who was raped and strangled by her abusive husband after an officer dismissed her complaints of harassment.
Kate Mott, 35, had won a court order against her husband, but Merseyside Police failed to log it. Five weeks later, Brent Mott, 32, strangled her with a pyjama top. He was jailed for life in 2010.
