Man arrested after body of a woman found in a car

The 66 year-old is helping police with their enquiries over the 'unexplained' death of the woman, found near Exeter on Wednesday

A man has been arrested after the dead body of a woman was found in a car.

Police discovered the body after being called to an area of Fenny Bridges, east of Exeter in Devon, at around 4pm on Wednesday.

The woman is yet to be identified police are treating her death as unexplained.

A 66 year-old man has is in custody and is assisting officers with their enquiries, Devon and Cornwall Police said.
