A man has been arrested following a double murder in London.

The man, 31, was arrested in Harlington today. He is under arrest at a west London hospital, where he is receiving treatment for wrist and neck injuries.

Police found the bodies of a man and woman, both aged 20, at premises in Harlington on Wednesday.

Next of kin have been informed and police are waiting to formally identify the victims.

A post mortem will be held later today but police have confirmed both died of stab wounds. A knife has been recovered.

Officers were called to New Road, Harlington, following concerns for the welfare of the occupants.

The address is near Heathrow Airport and the properties lie behind the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow Hotel and Convention Centre, with the rear gardens backing on to the hotel's secure gated car park.

The pair are believed to be workers at the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow Hotel.
