Police are appealing for information about the whereabouts of a missing teenage mother.

Jamie-Lee Johnson, 18, left her two-year old son with family members and has not been seen by them since.

Police have described her actions as "extremely out of character".

Miss Johnson, from Knightstone Heights, Frome, Somerset, was last seen on Saturday at around 5pm following an afternoon out with friends.

Police say her family are "extremely concerned" for her safety.

Avon and Somerset Police constable Nigel Page said: "We are extremely concerned about Jamie as she is a good mother and this is extremely out of character for her.

"We would urge her to make contact as soon as possible and let us know that she is safe and well."

Miss Johnson is described as around 5ft 3in tall, of a slim build with short blonde hair with coloured streaks.

Anyone with information is asked to call Frome police on 0845 456 7000.
