Probe as man and woman found dead
A police investigation is under way today after the dead bodies of an elderly man and a woman were found.
The couple, believed to be husband and wife, were found by their son at a house in Kendal, Cumbria, last night.
It is not yet known if their deaths are suspicious.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: "At 7.40pm on Friday, 18th February, police were called to a house in Kendal after the dead bodies of an elderly male and female were found by their son and daughter-in-law.
"Police are currently investigating the circumstances.
"Post-mortem examinations will be conducted on Saturday."
