A production worker for one of the country's most popular commercial radio stations was subjected to a sustained campaign of sexual harassment by DJs and other staff, a tribunal has been told.

Wendy Browne-Osibo, 24, claimed yesterday that she was groped by two colleagues, shown pornographic emails and offered £200 to show her breasts while working at London-based pop station Choice FM. An employment tribunal heard that when she made a formal complaint about the alleged treatment, the manner with which it was treated forced her to leave her job in August last year.

The production assistant, from Streatham, south London, said there was an ingrained culture of sexism at the station, and she had objected to posters in the office showing a naked woman.

The tribunal in Croydon heard that Ms Browne-Osibo had made a formal complaint against the station's Garage DJ, CK Flash, and a journalist, Andre Morgan, for touching her behind. Jaspaul Dubb, for Choice FM, confirmed that the two men had apologised following the complaint, but he told the hearing that the apologies had been only given for the sake of an "easier working environment" and the incidents had never happened.

Ms Browne-Osibo named five other staff for sexual harassment, including DJ George Kay, who she claims offered to pay her £200 to show him her breasts and was keen on pornographic emails. The media studies graduate also claimed that her production manager, Calvin Francis, who was also a DJ, refused to let her take down a picture of the rear view of a naked woman. She alleges sex discrimination, constructive dismissal and victimisation against Choice FM, which is contesting all the claims.

Cross-examining the studio worker, Mr Dubb asked why other employees did not corroborate her claims. She replied they were "lying" because many still worked for the radio station. On Mr Kay's alleged offer of £200 to show her breasts, Mr Dubb said the reality was that the offer had been made the other way round as "banter". Ms Browne-Osibo replied: "He's lying".

The tribunal heard that the poster of a naked woman were promotional flyers reflecting the culture and type of music, such as hip-hop and Garage, the station played. He added the posters were directed at a target audience and not produced by the station itself.
