Police detectives investigating the suspected murder of a Cardiff woman who disappeared on Christmas Eve have discovered a body.

Sameena Iman, 34, was last seen in Coventry leaving a Costco, where she worked as a regional manager, at 4pm on Christmas Eve.

West Midlands Police confirmed that a body has been found on an allotment site off Groby Road, Leicester.

The body has not yet been formally identified but a post-mortem is expected to return its results this afternoon.

Ms Iman’s family have been informed of the development.

Two men have been charged with murder. Roger Cooper, 40, of Tile Hurst Drive, Coventry, and David Cooper, 38, of Hughenden Drive, Leicester, were arrested at their home addresses on 7 January.

The men appeared via videolink at Birmingham crown court on Tuesday and have been remanded in custody with a provisional trial date set for the end of June.

The 34-year-old’s black BMW was found in Luton, Bedfordshire - 65 miles from where she was last seen – on 4 Januay after an extensive search.

Known by many of her friends as Sam, Ms Iman lived in Cardiff but worked in Coventry.
