CCTV footage has been released of a robbery on an F1 factory in Milton Keynes belonging to Red Bull Racing.

The raid happened on 6 December last year after a group of men in hoods and balaclavas reversed a 4x4 through the glass front of the factory.

The six men then got out of the vehicle and proceeded to steal 60 trophies from a nearby cabinet and ran off.

Around 20 of the trophies have been recovered after they were spotted in a lake near Sandhurst in Berkshire.

Red Bull Racing’s Team Principal Christian Horner said, “It was a pointless crime. The value of these trophies is minimal in terms of raw material but the emotional value is huge. It would be great to see those trophies back in their rightful home here in Milton Keynes.”

Thames Valley Police have now released the video in hopes of getting more information and will be making a renewed appeal on Crimewatch.

Crimewatch is on BBC One at 9pm tonight.
