Transvestite sought in drugs investigation
Detectives appealed today for the public's help in tracing a cross-dressing man wanted in connection with alleged drugs offences.
Police said heavily-built Christopher Brown, known as "Macho", often wears women's clothes on the railway network in a bid to disguise himself.
The 36-year-old, who also uses the nickname "Uncle", is described as having a "high-pitched" and "feminine" voice, a Sussex Police spokesman said.
Brown, who is originally from Jamaica, is wanted by detectives in connection with the alleged supply of Class A drugs in Worthing, West Sussex.
A £500 reward has been issued for information that leads to his arrest.
Police believe rail users hold the key to tracing Brown, who has scars below his left ear, his left eye and another on his right arm. His left eyelid always appears half-closed.
Detective Constable Richard Slaughter, of Worthing CID, said: "We are specifically appealing to rail users to think about whether they recognise this man, who has a very distinctive appearance.
"We know he uses the railway system to travel and has connections in Worthing and London."
Brown is black, between 5ft 6in and 5ft 8in, and clean-shaven.
Anyone with information is asked to call Sussex Police on 0845 6070 999, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
