Woman charged with child sex offences

A woman has been charged with child sex offences following the investigation into paedophiles Vanessa George and Colin Blanchard, police said last night.

Nursery worker George, 39, and her accomplices, Blanchard, 38, and Angela Allen, 39, admitted a string offences at Bristol Crown Court last month.

Police said the charges follow the investigation into Blanchard and are not linked to George, or the Little Ted's Nursery where she worked in Plymouth, Devon. A Merseyside Police spokesman said: "A 43-year-old woman from Southport will appear at Bootle Magistrates' Court tomorrow."
