Woman charged with pensioner husband's murder

A 67-year-old woman has been charged with murdering her husband at the family home, police said today.

Tony Wakeford, 75, died from a stab wound to the heart in Norwood Road, Effingham, Surrey, in the early hours of Saturday morning.

His wife, Patricia Wakeford, will appear at Guildford Magistrates' Court today charged with his murder, Surrey Police said.
