A woman shot in a laundrette in a seaside town was named by police today as Marion Millican.

The victim, 51, was shot at premises off Harbour Hill, just behind an apartment block in Portstewart, Co Londonderry, when a man walked in and opened fire.

Police sealed off the location, which is near the town's seafront promenade.

Detectives arrested a man in his 40s in the town of Kilrea 20 miles away, and he has been taken to Antrim police station for questioning.
