Crossbow man jailed

Francis Hamill, 23, of Hawthorn Road, Exeter, who shot a teenager in the head with a crossbow, was jailed for five years at Exeter Crown Court after admitting assault and burglary. Jamie Jenkins, 18, recovered after the bolt penetrated two inches into his brain.
