Fenland Station in Winter By Katherine Pierpoint Katherine Pierpoint was born in 1961 in Northampton. After studying languages at Exeter University, she worked for a number of years in publishing and television, and is now a freelance writer, editor and translator based in west London. She was awarded a Hawthornden Castle International Creative Writing Fellowship in 1993. This poem is from her first collection Truffle Beds, published this week by Faber and Faber at £6.99.
