Death faked at sea

A failed businessman who faked his own death and was reported lost at sea by his family, who were claiming pounds 158,000 in insurance, was found hiding in a hole beneath a floor at his home in Lymington, Hampshire, Bournemouth Crown Court was told. Peter Early, 67, and his wife, Sandra, were each sentenced to 12 months in jail.
