Education rethink
Educational reform in Northern Ireland is being slowed down. The primary school curriculum will be reviewed, assessment of pupils will not be expanded for at least another year, science assessment of 11-year-olds will be delayed, and an 11-plus test due to start in the autumn and run for two years until replaced by assessment, will be extended indefinitely.
