Eggs kept safe
Police and members of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds removed the eggs of a pair of peregrine falcons from a nest while four cooling towers were blown up. The eggs were later returned to the nest 100ft up a neighbouring power station in Salford, Greater Manchester.
