Falklands plea
Field Marshal Lord Bramall urged the Attorney General to halt the inquiry into alleged war crimes during the Falklands war in 1982. Lord Bramall, speaking in the House of Lords, said he was sure a prosecution would fail 'but not before it had done great harm to reputation and morale'.
