Family hurt as train hits car
A woman and her two children were injured after their car was pushed into the path of a speeding train at a level crossing in Beccles, Suffolk, police said yesterday.
Carol Pointer and her children were waiting at red lights at the crossing when another car crashed into them, pushing them onto the tracks.
Their car was then shunted 100 yards down the track as the Ipswich-bound train hit them at high speed.
