Formation of redundant Chieftain tanks lined up for role as museum pieces
Chieftain tanks queuing up for sale at a breaker's yard in Portsmouth, Hampshire. Harry Pounds, who runs the family ship-breaking business, bought 22 of the 54-ton machines from the Ministry of Defence four months ago. So far he has sold nine to museums and collectors, top price pounds 7,500.
