Glass in trifles

Marks and Spencer has recalled a range of desserts after several customers found pieces of glass in trifles. The company blamed a machinery fault and said that although complaints only referred to one trifle - cherry and chocolate - it was recalling all products made on the same line in the interests of public safety.
