Hatton Garden heist: Video shows jewellery stolen in wheelie bins
The Hatton Garden heist trial releases video evidence showing the thieves stealing jewels using two wheelie bins and escaping in an unassuming white van.
CCTV footage has been released as part of the on-going Hatton Garden heist trial which shows wheelie bins used to move £14 million-worth of jewellery.
The footage, which was played to the jury, shows the group of thieves making their escape in the back of a white Transit van.
The court was also shown a recording of jeweller Lionel Wiffen who admitted going back to the building twice over the weekend of the heist. He found the emergency fire door open on both occasions but failed to spot the thieves.

Show all 10Last week, the jury heard that the ringleaders of the jewellery heist were involved in some of the country’s biggest crimes.
The heist which took place during the Easter weekend was the largest burglary in English legal history.
